Since its establishment in 2011, the CavinKare-MMA ChinniKrishnan Innovation Awards have consistently demonstrated unwavering support for inventive endeavors initiated by small-scale enterprises and business individuals. The upcoming 12th edition of this prestigious event will pay tribute to entrepreneurs who exemplify the visionary, innovative, and ideation-driven qualities embodied by the late Shri. R. Chinnikrishnan, the father of C.K Ranganathan, Chairman & Managing Director of CavinKare Pvt Ltd. These awards acknowledge pioneering entrepreneurs based on the originality of their innovations, their positive impact on society, their potential for scalability and sustainability. The ceremony serves as a tribute to the memory of the esteemed R. Chinnikrishnan.
About Shri. R. ChinniKrishnan:
When Shri. R. Chinnikrishnan (Father of the Sachet Revolution) pioneered sachet packaging, his philosophy was simple: “Whatever the rich can enjoy, the common man should be able to afford.” Today, his innovations are visible in every corner shop. This award is our way of keeping his vision alive. The mission of this award is to identify and showcase innovative organizations, which have introduced breakthrough changes and can become role models for other Indians. CavinKare Pvt Ltd (CKPL) and Madras Management Association (MMA) would like to reach out to every single innovator in this regard.

The jury will distinguish between 'creative output' and 'innovation'. The latter should be demonstrated by either compelling evidence of market success and widespread use/application of the uniqueness of the product/service or business.
The selection will depend on four evaluation criteria concerning the product(s) and/or service(s):
The product(s) and/or service(s) must be well-differentiated in terms of the value they would offer to customers and end-users.
Uniqueness
Benefits to people
They should provide proven short- and long-term benefits to end-users in a real-time scenario.
The product(s) and/or service(s) must be capable of being scaled up and spread into their respective market(s) within a reasonable time.

THE AWARD
Cash award of Rs.1 lakh will be presented to each innovator selected for the award. In addition, recognition at the national level, support and guidance from India's leading industrialists will be facilitated.
CKPL and MMA will offer to mentor on marketing, finance, designing, packaging, R&D and HR besides the following:
